Almost nothing about the job changes with location, but there are two small, practical things worth knowing rather than pretending zero variation exists.
Price, part quality, warranty and workmanship are identical everywhere in the coverage area — those two points are about logistics on the day, not about how the job is quoted or done.
Getting to you fast, wherever “you” is
Because we route by booking time and proximity across the whole day rather than by a fixed north/south split, a Chermside job in the morning and a Mount Gravatt job in the afternoon on the same day is completely normal — the schedule follows where the bookings actually are, not an artificial territory line.
That's also why we can genuinely offer same-day slots on both sides of the river rather than running, say, “northside Tuesdays, southside Wednesdays” the way some smaller outfits with a single fixed base sometimes do.
Repair or replace: what we can actually fix on the spot
Plenty of Brisbane mirrors that look destroyed are a twenty minute glass swap. That is the actuator behind the glass, not the whole mirror. It is replaceable on its own on most cars.
Even here the mount is often reusable. This is the one case we quote per car, because what is salvageable genuinely varies.
The reason this matters on either side of the river is simple. A glass-only job we can do in your driveway in half an hour. A full assembly means ordering the right part for your exact build, and that is a conversation about your car rather than your postcode.
Getting to you across the river

If you are near a bridge and the timing is tight, say so when you book. It is usually easier for us to move you to the front or the back of a run than to fight the Story Bridge at five o'clock.
Where we park, and the one thing we need from you
This is the part people forget to ask about, and it is the thing most likely to cost you an hour. We work at the car, so the car has to be somewhere we can safely open a door fully and stand beside it.
Nothing to arrange. Leave it in the driveway with the mirror side clear of the fence.
We need either a visitor bay or the car brought out to the street. Basement car parks with low clearance and tight bays are the one setup that genuinely slows us down.
Fine, as long as we can reach the car during the day. Tell us if there is a boom gate or a sign-in, because that is usually the delay, not the repair.
Workable on a quiet street. On a busy road we would rather move you somewhere safer than work a hand's width from moving traffic.
Send a photo of the broken mirror and a photo of the compliance plate. Between those two we can confirm the exact part before anyone drives anywhere, which is the difference between one visit and two.
What it costs to leave it
A broken mirror in Queensland is not only an inconvenience. Under the Queensland vehicle standards a car has to have a clear, secure view to the rear, and an officer who spots a smashed or hanging mirror can issue a defect notice on the spot [4]. That notice comes with a timeframe to fix the fault and get the vehicle inspected before it is cleared.
The practical costs stack up faster than the repair does. A re-inspection carries its own fee once a defect notice is issued [6]. If you are about to sell the car, a mirror in that condition will hold up your safety certificate, and that is a separate delay again [7]. Set against a glass replacement from $135, leaving it is rarely the cheaper path.
What travels on the van, and what has to be ordered
The honest answer to "can you do it today" depends almost entirely on whether your part is one we carry. It is worth understanding the split, because it explains why two people in the same street get different answers on the same morning.
