FORD RANGER MIRRORS · MELBOURNE
Ford Ranger Mirror Replacement — Melbourne
The Ranger is one of the most common vehicles on Melbourne roads and one of the most common mirror jobs we do. It is also a ute, which means it spends its life on sites and in carparks where mirrors get hit.
Ranger mirrors vary a great deal by generation and trim — heated, powered, indicator, blind-spot and puddle lamp are all options. We identify the exact part from a photo.
As Featured In
Ford Ranger mirror replacement in Melbourne is a job we do constantly, because the Ranger is everywhere and its mirrors sit wide. A wide mirror on a narrow street finds things.
The trap on a Ranger is trim level. Two Rangers of the same year can carry completely different mirrors depending on whether they are a base cab-chassis or a top-spec dual cab with blind-spot monitoring.

OUR SERVICE
ALL WORK GUARANTEED
All of our workmanship and products include a written warranty of 12 to 48 months, depending on the model and the work done. The terms and conditions are simple and straight-forward.
Of course, if any damage is caused by misuse, negligence or through an accident, we do not cover it!
What varies between Rangers
Getting the trim right first time is the difference between one visit and two. These are the four variables that matter.
Base models often fold by hand only. Higher trims have a fold motor, and the two housings are not interchangeable.
Heated glass carries an element and two terminals. Fitting plain glass to a heated truck kills the demist permanently.
Most Rangers carry the indicator in the mirror cover. It is a separate part and often the only thing broken.
Later dual cabs carry the warning icon inside the glass, which changes the part number entirely.

What a Ranger mirror costs
As with any vehicle, the price depends on how much of the assembly has gone rather than on the badge on the tailgate.
| What is broken | What we do | Typical cost* |
|---|---|---|
| Glass only | Correct ADR-compliant glass cut and fitted to your existing backing plate. | from $135 |
| Cover / housing | Outer cap swapped, glass and motor kept. | $150–$300 |
| Full mirror, plain | Whole assembly, manual or basic powered mirror. | $200–$350 |
| Full mirror, powered | Electric adjust, power fold or integrated indicator. | $350–$500 |
| Blind-spot, camera or auto-dim | Mirrors carrying driver-assist electronics. | Quoted per vehicle |
*Indicative bands. A complete Ranger mirror is quoted per vehicle, because the part varies by generation and trim. Send a photo and we price the exact one. Every band here comes from our national price guide — the single source of truth for what we charge. Read the full side mirror replacement cost guide.
Utes take cover damage far more often than glass damage. If the glass is clear and the mirror still works, a scuffed or cracked cover is a $150 to $300 job rather than a full assembly.
The Anatomy
What’s inside a car side mirror
Five parts that can fail independently — and only one that’s usually broken. That’s where the money-saver hides.

The 5 layers of a modern car side mirror — when only layer 1 is broken, you only pay for layer 1.
Why Ranger mirrors get hit
The Ranger's mirrors are mounted wide and high, which is exactly what makes them useful and exactly what puts them in harm's way.
Narrow site access with a wide mirror is the single most common cause we see on work utes.
Multi-storey carparks built for sedans put columns and pipes right at Ranger mirror height.
A wide ute parked on an inner-suburban street leaves the mirror in the traffic lane.
If the Ranger has powered fold, folding by hand strips the gearbox. Use the button.
Why choose Car Mirror Man in Melbourne
Glass, cover, motor and indicator are separate parts. We only ever change what is actually broken.
ADR-compliant automotive mirror glass, cut here — so we are never forced into a full-assembly-only part.
Home, work or the station carpark. Glass-only fits from outside, so the car can stay locked.
In writing. Unlimited on mirror glass for as long as you own the vehicle, three years on a full mirror assembly, twelve months on an individual replacement part.

Ford Ranger mirror replacement Melbourne — your questions answered
How much is a Ford Ranger mirror replacement in Melbourne?
Glass alone starts from $135. Covers are $150 to $300. A complete Ranger mirror is quoted per vehicle because the part varies by generation and trim.
Do you carry Ranger mirrors in stock?
We source the exact part for your generation and trim once we have identified it from a photo. That is faster than fitting the wrong one twice.
Can you come to a work site?
Yes. We fit at homes, workplaces and yards across metro Melbourne.
My Ranger mirror still works but the cover is scratched. Can you just do the cover?
Yes, and that is usually the right call. A cover is a fraction of the price of a complete mirror.
Does the indicator come as part of the mirror?
On most Rangers the indicator repeater is a separate part in the cover and can be replaced on its own.
Will a replacement keep my blind-spot monitoring?
Yes, provided we fit the correct blind-spot specification. That is why we identify the trim before quoting.
How long does it take?
Most Ranger jobs are done on site inside an hour. Glass alone is twenty to forty minutes.
Do you work on other utes?
Yes. HiLux, Triton, D-Max, BT-50, Amarok and Navara are all regular jobs for us.
