A blind-spot warning that has stopped working is rarely the mirror. The sensor is in the rear bumper. If the glass is cracked and the system was fine before the knock, you need blind-spot glass, not a sensor.

What usually goes on a Sydney RAV4

How much is a Toyota RAV4 mirror replacement in Sydney?

Can you replace just the glass on a RAV4?
Yes, and on an SUV the saving is significant because the full assembly is a big part. If the housing, motor and indicator all work, the glass is the only thing that needs replacing.
Will replacing the glass break my blind-spot monitoring?
No. The blind-spot radar sits in the rear bumper, not in the mirror. The glass carries only the warning icon, so fitting the correct blind-spot glass keeps the system working.
Does the year of my RAV4 matter?
The features matter more. We work from a photo, because heating, blind-spot, camera and puddle lamps identify the part far more precisely than the model year does.

My RAV4 mirror will not fold. Do I need a new one?
Usually not. A fold motor and the clutch tabs are separate replaceable parts, and a grinding or buzzing mirror is normally one of those two rather than the whole assembly.
How long does it take?
A glass replacement is usually 20 to 40 minutes on site. Full assemblies and fold-motor work take longer, and camera-equipped mirrors longer again.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, in writing, and the term depends on what was fitted. Mirror glass carries an unlimited warranty for as long as you own the vehicle, covering manufacturing and workmanship. A full mirror assembly carries a three-year written warranty. An individual replacement part — a motor, a cover, an indicator or a camera cap — carries a twelve-month warranty on that part and the workmanship to fit it. Impact, accident damage, misuse and negligence are excluded across all three.
