Which HiLux mirror do you have?
Across the generations and the trim levels, HiLux mirrors change more than most. The specification matters far more than the model year for identifying the right part.
Manual or basic powered, no indicator. The lowest-cost and quickest to replace.
Repeater strip in the cover, and often a heating element behind the glass.
A fold motor in the base. It is a separate replaceable part from the glass and the housing.
Later models with a warning icon in the glass. The radar itself is in the rear bumper, not the mirror.

On a HiLux the housing usually survives the knock and the glass does not. If your cover, indicator and motor still work, glass-only is the fix — a fraction of the price of a whole assembly.

How much is a Toyota HiLux mirror replacement in Sydney?
HiLux glass-only work starts from $135. A cover or housing is $150 to $300, and a full HiLux assembly sits at the upper end of the range because the part is large and often carries an indicator, heating or blind-spot electronics. Send a photo for a fixed price.
Can you replace just the glass on a HiLux?
Yes, and on a ute it is usually the right call. HiLux housings are tough and normally survive the impact that breaks the glass, so the glass is the only part that needs replacing.
Can you come to a work site?
Yes. We fit HiLux mirrors at depots, sites and driveways across metro Sydney, so the ute does not need to go off the road for a workshop booking.
Does the SR5 mirror cost more than the Workmate?
Generally yes, because the SR5 mirror carries more — typically an indicator repeater and often heating. Plain black Workmate mirrors are the lowest-cost HiLux mirrors to replace.
My HiLux mirror grinds when it folds. Is it dead?
Almost certainly not. That grinding is worn nylon clutch tabs inside the fold mechanism, which are replaceable on their own without a new mirror.
Do you replace the interior mirror on the windscreen?
No. We replace the exterior side mirrors only. The interior mirror bonded to the windscreen is auto glazier work because the repair involves re-bonding to the glass itself.
How long does it take?
A HiLux glass replacement is usually 20 to 40 minutes on site. A full assembly or a fold-motor job takes longer, particularly on power-fold models.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, in writing, and the term depends on what was fitted. Mirror glass carries an unlimited warranty for as long as you own the vehicle, covering manufacturing and workmanship. A full mirror assembly carries a three-year written warranty. An individual replacement part — a motor, a cover, an indicator or a camera cap — carries a twelve-month warranty on that part and the workmanship to fit it. Impact, accident damage, misuse and negligence are excluded across all three.
